Stretches For Lower Back Pain Relief
Lots of adults get lower back pain. Exercises and stretches for lower back pain can provide significant relief. Most cases of lower back pain are caused by strain or injury. You can walk on land, but it is also helpful to walk in water! Walking strengthens the muscles that support the spine and help keep the discs in place. Here are some exercises and stretches for lower back pain that may provide you with some relief:
– Start on your hands and knees. Lift one leg straight behind you and hold for 6 seconds. Build up your endurance over time until you can hold the leg for 10 to 30 seconds. Repeat with each leg 8 to 12 times.
– Recline on your back. Bend your knees so your feet are positioned flat on the floor. Draw one knee to your chest and hold for 10 seconds or more. Do several repetitions on each side.
– Being positioned on your back bend your knees at 90 degrees. Make sure your feet are on the floor. With arms crossed in front of your chest, tighten the muscles of your abdominal and lift your shoulders a few inches off the floor. Hold for one or two seconds and release.
– Lie on your back. Bend your knees. Press your lower back to the floor while allowing the angle of the pelvis to tip upwards. Hold for 6 seconds. Remember to breathe! Do 8-12
