Lipotropic B12 Injections Review
Lipotropic B 12 is one of a number of treatments that promise fast and easy weight loss. If you have ever struggled do lose weight, and most of us have, you know just how hard it can be. In a society where we are used to nearly instant gratification, it is hard to work for months or even years to get those extra pounds off. Lipotropic B 12 injections and HCG diet injections (human chorionic gonadotrophin) promise easy and rapid weight loss. These treatments claim to help you lose weight by boosting metabolism. Lipotropic B 12 is a naturally occurring substance found in food. Its function is to move fat from the liver and help regulate metabolism. There is no solid evidence that injecting lipotropic B 12 actually leads to weight loss. In fact, the Food and Drug Administration has issued an order insisting that manufacturers of this product stop making weight loss claims.
HCG is a hormone found in the blood and urine of pregnant women. The FDA has approved HCG as a treatment for infertility and nothing else. Injections or oral HCG for obesity treatment has not been approved. Since this substance is used to increase fertility, HCG shots for weight loss side effects can result in an increased risk of pregnancy.
What the advertisements for these weight loss “magic bullets” fail to mention is that people are also required to reduce their daily caloric intake to a mere 500 calories! To put things in perspective: one egg is about 80 calories, one chocolate chip cookie is about 140 calories, and one apple is 65 calories. What would you eat for your 500 calories? It is impossible to get all the nutrients your body needs on a 500 calorie a day diet. Restricting your calories this severely can result in serious health problems.
